We are building the ERP manufacturers keep trying to turn their old systems into.

Tangle exists because small and mid-sized manufacturers are tired of choosing between rigid legacy ERP, fragile spreadsheets, and expensive customization projects. We build manufacturing software that can run the operation today and keep changing with it tomorrow.

Where we work

Legacy ERP was built to standardize. Manufacturing needs software that can adapt.

Every manufacturer has a different mix of quoting rules, materials, routing, approvals, shop-floor habits, and reporting needs. Traditional ERP often treats that reality as a problem to suppress. Tangle treats it as the point.

Our goal is to give manufacturers an operational backbone without locking them into a system that only consultants can change. Tangle brings the core ERP/MRP workflow together with low-code tooling, integrations, dashboards, and Milo AI Builder so teams can keep improving the way the business runs.

Tangle is led by Wayne Byrne, a low-code and automated-workflow pioneer who sold his first company, Iceberg, before leading ERP platform strategy at KeyedIn, and Abe McIntosh, a former CIO, CTO, and CISO with 30+ years in enterprise technology, including 20 years in manufacturing with Motorola and Baxter. Both had seen the same gap in the market: manufacturers needed a flexible, extensible system with real ERP depth, not another rigid package or fragile custom build. That mix — product and ERP depth on one side, scale-up operating experience on the other — is the foundation the rest of the team is built around.

Manufacturing software should be deep, usable, and changeable.

Start with the real workflow

Tangle is shaped around quoting, work orders, shop floor capture, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, reporting, and accounting sync. The software has to fit the operation, not the other way around.

Make change part of the system

Manufacturers change constantly. New products, new customers, new routing, new reporting, and new integrations should not become another long services project.

Use AI to build, not just answer

Milo is designed to help create screens, fields, workflows, reports, and automations inside Tangle, with review and control before changes reach the team.

Built with manufacturers, not around them.

Tangle is developed around real operational pressure: jobs that change, materials that move, schedules that slip, and teams that need clear answers without waiting on another implementation cycle. Today, over 40 manufacturers run on Tangle across metal fabrication, cosmetics, healthcare, distillery, and logistics.

Map the real shop
Shape the system
Improve safely
  • Implementation should prove value quickly without pretending every edge case is known on day one.
  • ERP should connect the office and shop floor in one shared operational view.
  • Customers should be able to keep improving the system after go-live.
  • Support should understand manufacturing detail, not pass every practical problem into a ticket queue.

The next step is not another fixed ERP. It is an ERP that can help build itself.

Milo is Tangle's AI builder for practical system extension. It helps teams turn operational questions into screens, reports, workflows, and automations while keeping review, testing, and control inside the platform.

Create new surfaces

Build forms, dashboards, fields, and views that match the way the team works.

Automate the handoffs

Model approvals, alerts, data movement, and workflow steps without starting from scratch.

Preview before rollout

Review changes before applying them to the wider team and live operating process.
