Sub-processors
Sub-processors
This page lists the third-party service providers (“sub-processors”) that handle personal information on Tangle’s behalf through our marketing website at tangle.io. It is referenced from our Privacy Policy.
If you’re a Tangle customer and want the sub-processor list for the platform (the application you and your team log into), that’s a separate list governed by your customer agreement. Email privacy@tangle.io and we’ll send it.
Current sub-processors
| Sub-processor | Purpose | Categories of data processed | Location of processing | Their privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC | Google Analytics 4 — aggregate site analytics | IP address (truncated), browser type, device type, pages viewed, time on page, referrer | United States | policies.google.com/privacy |
| HubSpot, Inc. | CRM, form submissions, visit-to-contact attribution, marketing email | Name, email, company, phone, job title, IP address, pages viewed, form responses | United States and European Union | hubspot.com/data-privacy/privacy-policy |
| Chatlio, Inc. | Live chat widget on the marketing site | IP address, chat session ID, chat message content, name/email if you provide them in chat | United States | chatlio.com/privacy |
| Vercel, Inc. | Marketing-site hosting, content delivery, edge logging | IP address, request headers, request paths, response status codes | United States | vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy |
We rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK equivalent) with each of the above sub-processors where they process personal information of EEA or UK residents.
What’s not in this list
Some tools we use are not sub-processors of marketing-site visitor data, so they aren’t listed here:
- Apollo.io — used by our sales team for outbound prospecting. Apollo processes contact data we look up directly through them, not data collected through tangle.io.
- Google Cloud Platform / Firebase — these are platform-side infrastructure for the Tangle product, not the marketing site. They appear on the platform sub-processor list (sent on request).
- Twilio SendGrid — used for transactional and notification email inside the Tangle platform. Not used to send replies to marketing-site form submissions (those go via our CRM). Appears on the platform sub-processor list.
- Internal collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace, GitHub) — these aren’t sub-processors of visitor data; they’re internal tools where our team writes and stores its own work.
Changes to this list
When we add, remove, or replace a sub-processor that materially affects how visitor data is processed, we’ll update this page and bump the last_reviewed date at the top. If you’ve submitted a form on tangle.io and given us your email, we’ll notify you of material additions at least 30 days before they take effect, so you can opt out if you object.
